Some of you might know me by name, Melina Minnillo, but most of you probably know me as @mpmsporthorses. While I might have collected a few followers on social media, in reality I am just a crazy horse mom who has been blessed to share my journey revolving around these magnificent animals throughout the equestrian world. I’ve always had a love for horses from an early age but never did I predict that I would make a career out of what I love most. Fast forward to today, I have been riding for twenty+ years, and I am now a proud owner of my own farm in Odessa, Florida.
At the end of 2016, I purchased my show partner many of you know and love, Caraszini (aka Zini). By the beginning of 2017, we had our show debut in the jumper ring. Zini and I climbed our way through the levels going from the .65m-.85m classes, all the way up to 1.25m Low Amateur Owners. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d make it to that level, but Zini gave me two of the most memorable years in my riding career. I was able to learn so much not only from him, but from a variety of great trainers along the way.
While I enjoy sharing snippets of my life on instagram, I want to use this site to share more insights into everything horse.
